How we work

How we update prices and the catalog

What the figures on this site mean, where they come from, and how often we refresh them.

The last catalog update

The catalog was last updated on September 14, 2026. If a price at checkout differs from the one you saw here, the checkout price is the one that applies.

We update prices and availability on a schedule. A piece that is no longer offered leaves the site on the next update, and a piece that comes back returns the same way.

What each line on a product page is

Tone, plating karat, base material, length, width, weight, earring back and clasp come from our product data for that piece. Where a figure is missing, the line is left out rather than guessed.

Some of our data gives a weight per earring, some per pair, and some does not say. The page adds "per earring" or "per pair" only when the data does.

Ratings and rating counts belong to the set a piece comes from, and they are printed as they are. We do not order pieces by commission.

What our guides rest on

The gold plating guide takes the meaning of "gold plated" and of the karat mark from the Federal Trade Commission and the text of its jewelry guides. Where a guide mentions skin, it quotes the American Academy of Dermatology and MedlinePlus. The full list, with what each page says and when we read it, is below.
