How a lariat hangs
A lariat has no pendant at the collar. Instead the chain meets at the front and a second length drops down from there, ending in a charm, so the necklace draws a long Y down the neckline. It looks best over a V-neck or an open collar.
The gold bar lariat ends in a bar, a bean, a pebble, a ball or a bow, and one version mixes gold and silver. The cactus, bull and cross lariats carry the western charms, and the teardrop lariats end in a drop of blue or brown resin.
